Support from HSBC Bank Armenia

From July 1st, 2023 “SOS Children’s Villages” Armenian Charity Foundation with the financial support of HSBC Bank Armenia implements the “Employment & economic sustainability component of the family strengthening projects” (FSPS) in Kotayk region, Dilijan and Ijevan enlarged communities.

The aim of the project is to help families increase economic stability thus contributing to the overall self-reliance of the families in difficult life circumstances which means that caregivers have the ability to provide quality child care (e.g. parental skills, awareness of child rights), sufficient family resources are available (e.g. economic security, stable accommodation, food security) and children have access to essential services (e.g. health, education).

Family Strengthening Projects (FSPs) implemented by SOS Children’s Villages in Armenia have several components, but one of the most important ones is the economic stability component. Within the framework of this component, vocational trainings are organized for the project participants․

Upon completion of the courses, appropriate tools and accessories necessary for professional activities are provided to the beneficiaries, which help them to become more competitive in the labour market and to find a job more easily, thus having the capacity to ensure proper care of their children.
