Ahead to the academic year, SOS Armenia in cooperation with “UMCOR Armenia” charitable foundation implemented the project of Enhancing Education Opportunities for Children During Covid-19: Support to Vulnerable Families. Within the frame of the project 795 school-age children living in Yerevan, Tavush and Kotayk marzes received packages of stationery. Thank you UMCOR Armenia for your cooperation and support!

On November 6, Mr. Zareh Sinanyan, High Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, visited Kotayk Branch of SOS Children's Villages Armenia.

On October 30, the opening ceremony of the new alternative care services took place in SOS Children's Village Kotayk. The event was attended by the RA President's wife, representative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Governor of Kotayk, representative of the French Embassy in Armenia, heads of the communities of Kotayk region, as well as SOS Children's Villages France delegation and representatives of SOS Children's Villages International organization.

On Friday, May 10, SOS CV Armenia hosted the Delegation of the National Assembly Friendship Group Armenia-Austria in SOS Children’s Village Kotayk. During its visit, the honorary guests got acquainted to the programs of #SOSCVArmenia, particularly the alternative care of children realized in the Children’s Villages, the family strengthening projects. The Delegation visited one of the Family Houses and the Social Center, discussed main problems causing child abandonment in Armenia, and many other issues.

It’s already several weeks as the Family Strengthening Kotayk Social Center has opened its doors to the community! The Opening Ceremony was hosted by representatives of SOS Children՛s Villages International organization, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Kotayk Regional Government and all 12 communities of Kotayk region covered by the different services of Family Strengthening project aimed at prevention of child abandonment.
