Crisis Response in Armenia: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict 2020
Since December 1, 2020 SOS Children's Villages Armenia has been implementing the “Crisis Response in Armenia: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict 2020” project to alleviate the difficult social and psychological condition of the 250 families with around 1500 children affected by war and displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
Within the frameworks of the project beneficiaries are provided with
- social and psychological support, in-kind support (food and hygiene packages), winter clothes, medicine, etc;
- improved access to education for the children, including provision of the necessary school items, as well as equipment for distant learning
- psychological and pedagogical support to children at the established “Child-friendly spaces” where children are encouraged to actively participate in the daily entertainment activities and communicate with community children.
The program is implemented in Yerevan city and Kotayk region till November 2021.
