Economic Empowerment of Youth Affected by Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict

SOS Children’s Villages Armenian Charity Foundation and Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Charitable Foundation joined their efforts to support young people affected by Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through the project “Economic Empowerment of Youth Affected by Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict”.

The project aims to enhance the economic opportunities of young people from the families affected by the conflict through participation in quality education, training opportunities and acquisition of soft, vocational and entrepreneurial skills. As the result of the project:

-       100 young people will have access to non-formal education and innovative training opportunities;

-       25 young people will increase their entrepreneurship knowledge and skills, as well as

-       8 own businesses will start out.

The project is implemented in Dilijan town (Tavush region) with the duration of 14 months (01.05.2021-30.06.2022). The project targets 100 young people from the local community affected by the conflict, as well as young people from NK who moved to Armenia because of the conflict.
