COVID-19 Response Project in Yerevan

After the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Republic of Armenia, the socio-economic situation of the population deteriorated sharply, and the war and the third wave of COVID-19 made it even more difficult. Many have lost their jobs, faced different problems in the field of health care, education, as well as in the socio-economic area.

Considering the current situation, the "SOS Children's Villages" Armenian Charitable Foundation launched the COVID-19 Response project in Yerevan since December 1, 2020, for a year.

100 families participating in the project are provided with

-       food packages,

-       COVID-19 prevention items (masks, disinfectants),

-       necessary equipment for distance learning of the school-age children,

-       diapers and other hygiene items for babies.

The project also anticipates identification of psychological problems and provision of relevant support, as well as counselling on the necessity of COVID-19 prevention, job search skills and professional orientation.
