COVID-19 Response Project in Kotayk
After the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Republic of Armenia, the socio-economic situation of the population deteriorated sharply, and the war and the third wave of COVID-19 made it even more difficult. Many have lost their jobs, faced different problems in the field of health care, education, as well as in the socio-economic area.
Considering the current situation, the "SOS Children's Villages" Armenian Charitable Foundation launched the COVID-19 Response project in Kotayk since July 30, 2021 till May 31, 2022.
100 families participating in the project are provided with
- food packages,
- COVID-19 prevention items (masks, disinfectants),
- necessary equipment for distance learning of the school-age children,
- diapers and other hygiene items for babies.
The project also anticipates identification of psychological problems and provision of relevant support, as well as counselling on the necessity of COVID-19 prevention, job search skills and professional orientation.
