SOS Kindergarten

SOS Kindergarten operated in SOS Children's Village Kotayk from 1996 to the end of 2017. It provided day care for 100 children annually. However, as SOS Kindergarten was the only institution for preschool-aged children care in the nearby 5 communities, the number of children exceeded its capacity.
SOS Kindergarten

For engaging in the day care of SOS Kindergarten preference was given to the children of vulnerable families from neighboring communities. Due to the professional pedagogical staff, the Kindergarten provided quality harmonious development for all children involved in its projects.

SOS Kindergarten implemented a "Parental Education" program within the framework of which various meetings and trainings were organized for parents. These events provided a great opportunity for parents to develop their knowledge on child care, as well as on their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

The educational process in SOS Kindergarten was developed with the help of various games and thematic planning. All these methods were adapted to the individual needs, interests and peculiarities of children, as well as taking into consideration the factor of children with special needs. SOS Kindergarten implemented its educational activities in line with the complex educational programs of the Ministry of Education and Science and “Step by Step” international association providing individual approach and practical methods such as "Development of critical thinking in preschool children", "Diverse thinking styles", "Inclusive education”, “Life skills”, “Parental education”, and others.
