    Family Strengthening Project in Arabkir administrative district
    In 2010, the Family Strengthening Project was launched in Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan with the aim of preventing child abandonment. Within the framework of this project, families in difficult life circumstances with minor children receive comprehensive education, health, social-psychological, legal, economic and material support based on their individual needs.
  • SOS Kindergarten
    SOS Kindergarten
    SOS Kindergarten operated in SOS Children's Village Kotayk from 1996 to the end of 2017. It provided day care for 100 children annually. However, as SOS Kindergarten was the only institution for preschool-aged children care in the nearby 5 communities, the number of children exceeded its capacity.

    SOS Children’s Village Kotayk
    SOS Children’s Village Kotayk was founded in the Republic of Armenia after the devastating earthquake of 1988. It was the first Children’s Village on the territory of the former Soviet Union, which due to its special methodology provides family-like care for children in difficult life circumstances for already 30 years.

    Family Strengthening Project in Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district
    Since April 2007, the Family Strengthening Project was launched in Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district. The beneficiaries of the project are families in difficult life circumstances with minor children. Our goal is to assist families with the help of the multidisciplinary team to overcome crisis, to acquire self-esteem and self-reliance and to carry out all social functions of the family. Through activating the potential of the families we promote their ability to act independently, to solve their problems, and to independently use the services inside and outside of the community.
  • SOS Children’s Village Ijevan
    SOS Children’s Village Ijevan
    SOS Children’s Village Ijevan was founded in Ijevan city of Tavush region of the Republic of Armenia in 2009. The admission of children started from 2010. There are 14 family houses in the village which have the capacity of 91 children.
  • Youth Care
    Youth Care
    Two Youth Facilities are operated in Yerevan, where children/youngsters from 14 to 18 years old can be transferred from Children’s Village Kotayk and Children’s Village Idjevan to receive higher education in the capital city and to prepare for independent life. Different events are organized in Youth Facilities to provide necessary preconditions for inspiring young people to become self-confident and full-fledged members of supportive society.

    The program was launched in 2010 to support and improve the quality of education of the general education institutions attended by children engaged in the programs of SOS Children's Villages Armenian Charity Foundation.

    The Family Strengthening Project in Kotayk region was launched in January 2018 and currently operates in 15 communities of the region with the further perspective of involving all communities of the region.
  • Mother and Child Shelter
    Mother and Child Shelter
    From January 2018, the Mother and Child Shelter project has been launched in SOS Children’s Village Kotayk. It provides temporary shelter for homeless mothers with minor children. Within the frameworks of this project, shelter was provided to 9 families with 15 children.
  • YES! EU4Youth: Employability and Stability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine
    YES! EU4Youth: Employability and Stability in Armenia, Belarus and Ukraine
    The project started on February 01, 2018 and will last for 36 months. It is implemented in Belarus, Ukraine and Armenia (Yerevan city and Ijevan city) with the financial support of the European Union. The implementing partners in Armenia are SOS Children Villages Armenian Charity Foundation and Business Support Center. The project aims to contribute to creating better prospects for employment and entrepreneurship for socially and economically disadvantaged youth (16-35 years old), especially young women, single mothers, youth from SOS Children’s Villages/from other alternative care institutions, youth at risk, and increasing their active participation in the labor markets of above mentioned countries.
